OKC blew it last night, big time. After going up in a best-of-7 games series three games to one, OKC collapsed, big time. Now I’m no Charles Barkley or Shaq so my commentary is admittedly amateur at best, but I’ve got my own theory about why OKC shit their pants on the main stage: KD and Westbrook don’t wear [dis]ABLE, and, more importantly, nor do they live it. Hear me out, though… I know I sound like I don’t make any sense.

When KD and Westbrook are losing, they represent what is wrong with our society. They play expecting everyone around them (their teammates) to be just like them, skilled the same. And when they realize their teammates are not, they basically forget they have teammates. If you watched, you can recall their teammate, Roberson, roaming around on offense defenderless for the entire series. Or worse than forgetting about teammates, Durant just curses out his teammate and then chest bumps him like he did to Waiters. Really motivating stuff, right?

When KD and Westbrook are winning, however, they use their teammates’ strengths for everything they’re worth. Adams off the pick-and-roll; Waiters making plays for other people; Ibaka for three. You catching my drift? Everyone has talents and skills that are useful and can help a team win; KD and Westbrook just don’t believe it! Playing “hero ball” as Barkley calls it, or “disabled” ball as I call it, and playing one-on-five calls for defeat. Somebody should get KD and Westbrook a shirt. Westbrook’s swag needs an upgrade anyway.
