With 2017 in the rear view, I’m extremely grateful that I can say it was an amazing year, many thanks to so many of you.

I cannot express how grateful I am for the support and positive feedback I’ve received about my new children’s book, Will the One-Winged-Eagle. With each entrepreneurial endeavor I pursue, I am trying to help facilitate the change I’d like to see in the world, that being how we view disability. Given the book’s success thus far and the support from all of you, I am confident we are making a change for the better together.

Second, I am also very grateful I now have a place to call my home. In 2017, I dug in and planted roots in Center City, buying a condo that’s perfect for me. I’m beyond lucky to have an amazing family, who’ve helped me settle in and make it feel like a home.

Now, 2017 has set the stage for an even more amazing 2018. Before I published the book, Eddie shared a statistic with me: more self-published books sell less than a hundred copies than self-published books that sell more than a thousand copies. Well, anybody who knows me knows I believe rules are meant to be broken and statistics are meant to be crushed. I am no stranger to defying the odds, and I’m confident with about 500 copies of Will the One-Winged Eagle sold in a little more than a month, the book still has plenty of wind beneath its wings. I’m excited to announce I’ll kick off the new year with my first school visit on January 18, two days before my 29th birthday, and hope to do many more. With that and much more in the works, I’m optimistic it will be another amazing year in 2018!
