Thank you Plymouth Elementary for an AMAZING visit! This visit was special for so many reasons. I improved upon my presentation thanks to advice from my teacher sister @adrianmonicac! My nephew was able to see me present before he moves up to the next school, and my brother and mom were there to support me. Special thanks to @rlbaron, my classmate growing up, for the invite and for organizing a great visit! #WilltheOneWingedEagle

I went into the office until the pandemic hit, but

I went into the office until the pandemic hit, but fortunately I was able to live just a few blocks from work, which made the commute possible. Having worked from home for the last 2+ years, life is better now. Aside from opening doors to new opportunities, I can eat, drink, and use the bathroom when I want, instead of having to mirror the routine of "Shit-Break" from American Pie. I can get out of my wheelchair to stretch throughout the day, and I no longer have to subject myself to the elements on days with miserable weather like today. Not to mention, I'm more productive now, even with the fact that I've gotten into the habit of watching CNBC and following financial markets daily (or listening to Young Dolph today). Sad that it took a pandemic to open new doors for people with disabilities, but I'm grateful! #disability #disabilityinclusion #workfromhome

On July 14, my motor died on my chair 😫 other than attending my sister’s amazing wedding, I’ve been in my apartment until last Thursday when my chair was finally repaired. This was my first weekend back outside 😈😂and after some fun with friends, no better way to wrap up the weekend than dinner with my momma!

Today I spoke to students at Widener Memorial School - Philly’s only all-special education public school 🏫 Speaking to students of all ages and exclusively students with disabilities, I felt compelled to share the story of my friendship with the late @simonilla because when I was a kid, he gave me hope, as a person with a disability, that I could overcome my limitations to live my dreams 💪🏼 Through my presentation, I aspired to instill the same sense of hope in the kids I met with today! #DISABLEyourLimits

Today, with over 20M people unemployed, I feel so blessed to still be employed. This goes to show survival of the fittest is dead ☠️ Life is about ability, not disability 💪🏼 #DISABLEyourLimits

In the past two months I’ve seen a neurologist, a pulmonologist, an interventional radiologist, and even a primary care physician... that’s more doctors appointments than I’ve had in years. Why? My outlook on what doctors can do for me has changed. When I was born my disease was like a death sentence, but in the past two years two million-dollar treatments have been approved for my disease. Now I look at life with a longer term view, but still live every day like it’s my last. #DISABLEyourLimits
